in the recent decade with the rise of english langguage speakers in mainland china the population of catholic church beleivers is also increasing at a high rate. now almost more than 5% of chinese population is officially catholic. thats a huge number. In the neighboring South Korea more than 35% now practice catholic faith. some of them are also travelling abroad as preache rof catholicism of which 30 were kidnapped and then relaesed on high ransom by taliban. will china became a new heaven for the spread of catholicism its an intriguing question. but there is no doubt that with the constant rise of muslim population in europe to which pope has asked for urgent measures, catholics churches are indeed looking to spread into a country of more than one billion people who officially and unofficially claim to be an athiest.
